Bird's nest is a
delicacy in cuisine that is one of eight nutrious food (eight precious dishes).
Modern science has found the components of the bird's nest. Bird's nest contains
high protein content (45 - 55%) which include 18 kinds of amino acid, some have
high content such as aspartic acid (4.69%), proline (5.27%), in which their
effects are recreating the muscle cell,
tissue and skin. There are the irreplaceable amino acids such as cysteine,
phenylalamine (4.50%), in which their effects are improving
the memory, increasing the transmission of nerve impulses, increasing the
absorption of vitamin D from the sunlight.Tyrosine and acid syalic (8.6%) have
the effects on the recovery quickly when the
body contaminated or red blood cells damaged, glucosamine helps to restore the
cartilage in osteoarthritis cases.
Bird's nests contain 31
essential trace elements for the development of children and
the improvement of the elderly. Bird's nest is rich of calcium and
iron, and has the beneficial elements to the nerves system and memory such as
manganese, bromine, copper, zinc. There are elements that stimulate the digestion such as chromium,
anti-aging elements, and anti-radiation as selenite. Bird's nest contains
free-fat galactose. Threonine in bird's nest has the effect on the support to
form the collagen and elastin - two compounds rebuild
the skin structure, when combining with Glycine will prevent the wrinkles, anti aging, anti-acne
freckles, prevent pigmentation marks and protect the skin, makeing the smooth
and vibrant skin. Tryptophan helps the fetus to develop balancely and
healthily.
Bird's nest helps the elderly not only to improve the
physical but also the brain, such as improving the memory
(phenylalanine), liver problems (threonine), gastrointestinal issues
(histidine), adjust the sugar content in blood (Leucine), increasing the
ability of absorbing calcium, anti-aging spine (Lysine), preventing arthritis
(Methionine).
Especially, syalic acid
and Tyrosine help to recover faster for
cancer patient after radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or patients after
surgery (especially lung, kidney.)
Nowadays, bird's nest
is being studied for HIV-AIDS treatment because it stimulates the growth of
leukemia cells with antibody effects. It is also recommended for cancer
patients after radiotherapy, patients after surgery to help the human's body
recover faster.
Beside that, bird's
nest is also a very nutritious food, for the
weak body, fatigue, anorexia, and fragile vitality, hot-tempered body due to
smoking and alcohol, insomnia, heart palpitations, thin, yellow skin.
